Overview
Step One is a real-estate company's full listings platform — areas, gated communities, developers, and individual property units, plus a company blog and careers section — built as a Django REST API behind a Vue 3 single-page frontend, with SEO as a first-class concern from day one.
The backend's standout piece is its sitemap architecture: rather than one generic sitemap, content is split by type (properties, areas, compounds, developers, jobs) with per-type priority and change-frequency tuning — the kind of detail that measurably moves search rankings for a listings site with thousands of pages. Every uploaded photo is automatically processed into thumbnail/medium/large WebP variants, and leads from both buyers and sellers are captured and tracked alongside site-visit analytics.
The public-facing Vue 3 app consumes that API for everything visitors see: browsing by area, compound, or developer, search and favorites, a "sell your property" flow, careers listings with an in-house application process, and the company blog — all bilingual via vue-i18n, styled with Bootstrap 5, and animated with Swiper, Splide, and AOS.
